Caring for Baring Head –
East Harbour Regional Park

With the support of the Wellington community, Greater Wellington has purchased Baring Head for addition to the East Harbour Regional Park.

The Friends of Baring Head Trust has been created to provide a means for the community to assist Greater Wellington in caring for Baring Head and being involved in its management and development.

Visit and see for yourself what this unique and historical coastal landscape has for you. Baring Head has a spectacular coast experience where you can enjoy the extensive walking and horseriding and mountainbiking tracks among the farmland and the coastal shrubland, and learn about the unique history of this area including the lighthouse precinct.
